A Strong IB Biology Tutoring Method

After completing the IB Diploma with strong results in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry, one former student proposed a tutoring approach for IB Biology and IA feedback. The English edition does not reproduce the original portrait, name, birth date, student number, or admission and graduation documents.

The method begins with careful concept teaching using a textbook, slides, and concise notes. Students then complete topic questions independently, review every error, and revisit weak areas through short tests and regular feedback.

A useful final step is active explanation: after learning a topic, the student teaches it back in their own words. This quickly reveals gaps that passive reading can hide and builds the confidence needed for unfamiliar exam questions.

Lessons were designed for online delivery in 60- to 120-minute sessions. The underlying study cycle remains simple: understand, practise, explain, and review.
