I hadn't posted much on the blog for a while because I had so many lessons. When AP results came out, several students contacted me, but at the time I simply congratulated them on KakaoTalk and moved on.
Now that I have a little breathing room, I'm sorting through the messages and photos I received and recording them one by one. This time, students from KIS and SSIS sent news of AP Chemistry scores of 5.
Student: Teacher, I just checked—I got a 5 in AP Chem!
Teacher: Really? Congratulations. A 5 is a great result.
Student: It's thanks to you. Mum is so happy too. Thank you!
Teacher: Of course she is. Enjoy celebrating today!
Of course, the students were the ones who solved the questions in the exam room and earned their 5s. They did an excellent job studying consistently over a long period and preparing the FRQs right to the end.
Student: Teacher, I got a 5 in AP Chem! Thank you so much for helping me for a year.
Teacher: You finally did it. You earned it through your hard work.
Student: The FRQs went better than I expected too.
Teacher: I knew you'd do well. Make sure you tell me when your university results come out.
Student: Yes, I'll definitely contact you!
Many students are starting AP Chemistry again these days, so I'm working hard on lessons. It's important to understand the concepts accurately, solve enough questions, work out why mistakes happened, and repeatedly check FRQ answers.
Student: Teacher, my AP Chem result is out, and I got a 5! When I first started, I really didn't know where to begin. Thank you for guiding me to the end. Without the lessons, I would have struggled much more with the FRQs.
Teacher: You did really well. It makes our year together worthwhile. I think you'll do well at university too.
Student: I'll contact you again when I have good news!
Teacher: Yes, please keep me updated.
As time allows, I'll gradually share more results I received from AP and IB students in the past. Current AP Chemistry lessons and exam preparation are continuing too.
