All my IB students received the top grade of 7.
The route to a 7 varies by school,
but the volume of past-paper practice and established resources such as InThinking seems important.
Repeatedly solving at least five years of past questions helps, but students are not studying only one subject,
so it is not easy.
I try to cover ten years whenever possible.

I provide questions regularly and work through three years’ worth during lessons,
with separate practice time for the rest.
Solving independently is naturally faster than going through every question in a lesson,
but students do not always manage it well. Haha.
All my Year 1 students earned 7s after substantial question practice.
I hope they keep focusing and do even better.
