Hello, this is JjangJi. I was extremely busy for a while, but lately exams have been canceled one after another, and students have been canceling lessons too.
That has given me a chance to write this post.
With COVID-19, it is not just that students cannot go to school. Exams are being canceled one after another, and everything feels unsettled.
The image above shows my schedule. That is how busy I normally was, but now I can catch my breath a little.
I am still steadily teaching online, though.
Students who had been working hard for SAT Chemistry seem deflated now that it has been canceled.
With places closing here and there, lesson cancellations have become more common.
To be honest, I am not someone who wants to teach an enormous number of lessons, so sometimes I am secretly grateful for a cancellation. Haha.
But the questions from students never stop. Whenever I wake up, there are always several waiting. For questions that are difficult to explain in writing,
I can only give a rough explanation. For the others, I try to explain in detail.
Most students who ask questions also have strong grades. The student above has a predicted IB score of 43 and has already been accepted to many universities.
I have been exchanging messages with students, and many are disappointed. Those who were due to take their IB finals this year
seem unsure what to do. Some already have university offers, of course, but many of those still studying hard
are planning to apply to universities in Korea.
Most feel at a loss now that they cannot take the finals.
Even in this situation, some students are staying positive and preparing hard right to the end.
AP Chemistry will also be taken at home this time.
