This collection begins with a student who prepared a Chemistry and Biology research report for a youth academic conference in only four days. The report passed the preliminary round, and the student later received a scholar award.
The achievement was especially rewarding because it grew from a short, intensive period of planning, scientific writing, and revision.
Several families also shared encouraging school results. One parent said that the student was repeatedly earning perfect scores, particularly in Chemistry, and had become much more interested in the subject after taking the lessons.
Another student replaced a Chemistry midterm with two performance assessments and received full marks on both. The messages below also include a score of 97—the highest in the grade—and a perfect H-paper result.
The second half of the post records university decisions. One student, after managing academic and personal difficulties during the IB, chose Yonsei University's Underwood International College HASS programme and sent a thoughtful thank-you message after admissions ended.
Other students also selected Yonsei University. One described a late improvement after a difficult start, while another chose Yonsei Materials Science after considering offers from Korea University and POSTECH.
Several students decided to study in Singapore. The conversations capture the mixture of surprise, relief, and pride that followed their results, including admissions to the National University of Singapore.
The post closes with free Chemistry video lessons covering topics such as stoichiometry, atomic structure, and periodicity. The material included concise summaries and practice questions for students who wanted additional review.
IB Chemistry Internal Assessment consultations were also continuing. Students received support with research questions, scientific reasoning, data treatment, uncertainty, structure, and draft feedback while remaining responsible for their own investigation and final submission.
These messages are individual historical examples rather than guaranteed outcomes, but they show the value of consistent study, timely feedback, and careful preparation.
