JIS Student Earns Straight 7s in IB Chemistry, and Physics Lessons Resume

Jakarta Intercultural School is known for strong academics and a highly competitive environment. That pressure can be demanding for students, so it was especially rewarding to hear from a student who was earning grade 7 results across IB Chemistry assessments.

The record below shows consistently high marks. I congratulated the student for maintaining this level of performance throughout the course.

This student had already studied AP Chemistry before beginning IB Chemistry. That earlier foundation made the transition smoother because many core ideas were familiar, leaving more time to adapt to IB question styles and assessment expectations.

Prior study does not remove the need for practice, but a solid conceptual base can make it much easier to reach and maintain grade 7 performance.

The post was written as another Internal Assessment season approached. More students were beginning to ask questions about data processing, calculations, and how to present their IA results clearly.

At the same time, Physics lessons for IB, AP, and A Level students were starting again. The Physics teacher was working at an international school and had extensive experience teaching Korean students.

Physics has several different course pathways, so lesson planning needs to match the student's exact programme and examination. Support was available across Physics and Mathematics, with preparation tailored to the relevant syllabus.
