An IB Economics Grade 7 Student's Tutoring Approach

After completing the IB Diploma and beginning university study in Hong Kong, one student who earned a 7 in IB Economics proposed an online tutoring programme for Economics and IA feedback.

The English edition omits the original portrait, name, application number, and admission document to protect the student's identity.

The proposed method began with careful concept explanations using a textbook, slides, and concise notes. Students would then complete practice and past-paper questions independently, review errors, and use regular checks to identify weak areas.

A final technique was active explanation: after learning a concept, the student would teach it back in their own words. This helps reveal gaps that passive reading can hide.

Lessons were planned online through Google Classroom in 60- or 90-minute sessions, with scheduling adjusted around university commitments.
