I received requests for IB Chemistry—and AP, A Level, and IGCSE—lessons from so many countries, and I tried to accommodate them all.
From Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain, and the UK to the US, Brazil, Myanmar, and more—people contacted me from countries I might otherwise hardly encounter. Sometimes it was difficult when students didn't improve, and sometimes their progress made me incredibly happy.
Thinking back through them one by one, these are precious memories. I'm very grateful.
More than once, I've wondered whether I really deserve to receive so many messages of thanks over so many years. I simply feel grateful. I'll take them as encouragement to keep working hard.
I had been teaching in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where I live, but at the time of this post I was considering going to Hanoi to teach too. I had intended to stay in one place, but staying there all the time left me gaining weight and feeling worn out. I thought going to Hanoi might provide a change of scene. I would of course continue teaching regularly in Ho Chi Minh City and visit Hanoi only on weekends.
Unfortunately, I can't stay lost in those feelings; I have students to help again, haha. Here we go once more.
I really am a bit worn out. But I have to gather my strength and start again.
When I get this tired, I wish I could simply teach while working for someone else. I don't want to worry about everything else.
Preparing again for 2023 AP Chemistry
and 2023 IB Chemistry.
I'll put care and effort into my current students and do my best to help them reach their goals.
