After the 2023 IB examinations, several students wrote to describe a particularly demanding Chemistry session. Soon afterward, I received welcome news from students admitted through Seoul National University's Fall 2023 international admissions process.
The first student preferred not to disclose a name or department, so the identifying fields remain fully hidden. The preliminary admission notice was especially meaningful after a difficult period of study and many personal consultations.
Another student received preliminary admission to Biological Sciences in the College of Natural Sciences. The student had studied Chemistry with me since Grade 10 and later described the lessons as a clear guide through a challenging subject.
These students were associated with IB totals around 42–43 rather than a universal 45-point requirement. They are individual 2023 examples, not an admissions formula. SNU, KAIST, medical, and pharmacy requirements vary by programme, applicant category, and year; applicants should rely on the latest official admissions guidance.
