It had been a while since I last posted. During the pandemic, spending so much time at home and repeating the same routine every day had become exhausting.
I had tried to reduce my teaching schedule, but classes continued to fill with returning students and students introduced by other families. Even during a difficult period, thoughtful messages from students and parents gave me renewed energy and reminded me why I continued teaching.

The first message came from the parent of a former IB Chemistry student. The student had initially been scoring below a 5, then consistently earned grade 7 results and went on to the university they wanted.
Students often become busy after starting university, so receiving another message later felt especially meaningful.

Another family shared that a student had performed well on two school Chemistry assessments and received full marks on both. These updates were encouraging because they showed that the student's classroom preparation was transferring to school examinations.

A student at an international school in Jakarta reported a score of 97—the highest in the grade. The teacher reviewed commonly missed questions with the class afterward, turning the test into another learning opportunity.
Other students also shared an IB performance-assessment grade of 7 and a perfect H-paper result.
