Hello. Students are beginning to report their IB Chemistry results.
When I ask about scores, I only cautiously ask students who have already received university offers or who are exceptionally strong.
I don't ask everyone, because someone who didn't get a high score might feel upset.
Only four students contacted me first after this exam, which makes me think it really was difficult.
Even students ranked first or second at school dropped one or two points from predicted IB totals of 45, which also suggests a difficult exam.

I can hardly describe how many questions this student solved. They put in so much effort.
After all that work, they only just got a 7. That tells you it really was difficult, haha.
Even someone near the very top of the school had this experience.

Likewise, this next student was near the top of their school, which I think is what made a 7 possible.
They are remarkable students.

Oh dear, this student was so worried that I worried too. I'm glad they got a 7.
I have many students, so there are probably more 7s, but these are the messages I've received.
The exam seems to have been difficult, and the marking seems to have been strict too.

Well done, everyone. I'll add more messages here as they arrive. Thank you.
I'll take a breath. It feels like another year has ended.
But my schedule is already full again, so I can't take additional students.
I'll work hard with this next group too and aim for good results.
