As a new year begins, I wanted to look back at the students who studied IB Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and A Level Chemistry with me during 2023.
Many students joined these classes throughout the year. Looking at the photographs again brings back warm memories, and I am grateful for the focus and energy they brought to every lesson.

The first group was studying AP Chemistry, while some students were also preparing for A Level Chemistry. Tablets, printed questions, and handwritten working were all part of the routine.

The IB Chemistry students were especially focused. Many of these sessions combined concept review with extended question practice, allowing students to compare methods and work through difficult calculations together.

Several former students later entered pharmacy programs, Seoul National University, universities in Singapore, and highly ranked universities in the United States. I was relieved and proud to see so many of them reach the destinations they had worked toward.
My informal recollection of the 2023 results included about five Seoul National University offers, many Yonsei University offers, two medical-school places, and one or two pharmacy places. These figures were personal notes rather than a complete admissions record, because the year was busy and not every message was archived.
I taught Chemistry only; these outcomes also reflect each student's work across school subjects, examinations, applications, and personal preparation. I hope every student continues to thrive in the years ahead.
